This year’s catwalk outfit is done! Now we just have to wait till the 22nd to see the Eamoda show at the Designers Look Buenos Aires fashion week at the Tattersall hotel. The standard of design for the show is extremely high this year, at least from the glimpses I got when I went to hand in my work earlier. Lots of unique prints and screenprinting effects. I am also relieved because the rumour that my classmates had chosen that massively overexposed Daft Punk single for our show turned out to be false. Phew! The music for these things is so important… in fact, last year’s choice of Maroon 5 reignited my schoolgirl crush on Adam Levine. Shhh, don’t tell anyone.
I would love to post some pictures of my design but my poor camera skills wouldn’t do it justice! Hopefully we’ll get the professional photos soon, and until then here’s a preview.
Yep, I persist in sewing leather even though it buggered up my machine to the tune of 100 quid. It was worth it though. In fact I might just sew some more leather now… and decide what I’m going to wear to the show. I bought some aymayzing second-hand sequined trousers recently at the Centenario, but they are so delicate (silk!) I’d have to be carried in on a litter. I wonder if that could be arranged.
