Dulce2Dulce1

While waiting for a copy of the photos of my most recent catwalk show, I realised that I’d never posted photos of last year’s show! What an oversight. The theme last year was Dulce Pop (a strange cross-pollination of dulce de leche and Pop Art), for which I made a print jacket based on a sketch I did of an alfajor, dulce-de-leche print leggings, a tank top using fabric manipulation techniques (detail here), and shorts. Last year’s show was great, but I’m even prouder of the work my class did this year. It’s very rewarding to be able to see some tangible progress when you’ve been working hard at something.

This is another project I’ve been working on – my wedding dress, again! Yep, we finally did the legal bit, nine months after the party (and, more to the point, it took me nine months to hem my dress. Nine months!). I am now officially a wife, whatever that means. I won’t bombard you with photos again but suffice it to say we all had a very lovely time. Related: always be careful getting out of a jacuzzi after drinking champagne. Just because.
